I cannot provide the actual cost for your quilting until I see the quilt, measure it, and we discuss the quilting motif. The following list provides rough estimates for quilting, and should be used as a general guideline only.

I specialize in free-hand artistry, please ask me what I can suggest for your quilt.

This includes any quilting that is sewn custom to fit your specific quilt. I will quilt borders and blocks separately to accentuate the piecing of your quilt. I will suggest various motifs to help your particular quilt design to stand out.

This includes extensive feather quilting, whole cloth, or very fussy custom work. This is the work done for fancy show quilts or intricate heirloom quilts.

Trapunto can be done on any Heirloom or Applique Quilt to accentuate a design. If the trapunto is being done on an heirloom quilt there needs to be a space large enough for the trapunto and the fabric in that area should be a solid, light color. Allow an extra 2 weeks delivery time for trapunto work to be completed. The batting for the trapunto portion of the quilt is included in the quilt charge.

We will choose one color to stitch your quilt. Each additional color change is a flat $10. Variegated or metallic thread is an additional $0.50 per square yard. Monofilament thread is NEVER an option.

I do not do stitch in the ditch, but I can do an offset outline. This
is charged at $35 to $45 per sq.yd. depending on the amount of starting and stopping involved.

You provide me with a piece of fabric at least 12" X 9" and I will create a custom label for you to applique to the back of your finished quilt. You will have a choice of thread color and lettering type (block, cursive, or juvenile). The text can be up to 6 lines with 28 characters per line.
